Report February 2023
This month we have published two new translations, both from the Takhyung Barwa cycle.
The first text is the empowerment and the second the recitation manual for Takhyung Barwa, and both are authored by Jigme Lingpa. These texts had been put together in the Tibetan texts, despite clearly being two different texts. For the sake of convenience, we have separated the two texts. First there is the Root Empowerment for The Blazing Wrathful Guru, Hayagrīva and Garuḍa (Lama Drakpo Takhyung Barwa), a treasure revealed by Jigme Lingpa.
Secondly there is the Key Points for the Approach Practice of Takhyung Barwa, The Blazing Wrathful Guru, Hayagrīva and Garuḍa, which consists of interlinear notes to clarify the approach (bsnyen pa) practice, or recitation, of The Blazing Wrathful Guru, Hayagrīva and Garuḍa.
February was a busy month and we were able to visit Dodrupchen Monastery for about a month, nourishing our connection with the Tulkus and Lamas of the monastery and attending the Palchen Dupa Drupchen that concluded on Losar.
As much as possible, we try to follow Dzongsar Kyentse’s Social Media Guidelines for So-Called Vajrayana Practitioners, and so we will not be posting any images or videos of this practice.
For next month we are working on several texts related to the Longchen Nyingtik transference practice (phowa). Stay tuned!
We also visited Tso Pema Lake.
