It was Senge Dongma September this month at the Longchen Nyingtik Project, with two new translations for the practice of the Lion-Faced Dakini.

Firstly, we are pleased that we have finished the translation of another one of the main sadhanas of the Longchen Nyingtik: Siṃhamukhā, Lion-Faced Ḍākinī, The Secret Female Practice from the Heart-Essence of the Vast Expanse, as revealed by Jigme Lingpa. It is considered to be the secret, wrathful aspect of the Female Practice (Yumka).

One student kindly remarked about the translation: “I must commend highly your work on this translation. Great job. Very clear and articulate from a practitioner's point of view. Refreshing! Thank you.”

We have also translated the accompanying lineage prayer: The Shower of Blessings, A Prayer to Siṃhamukhā, the Secret Female Practice, written by Dodrupchen Jigme Trinle Özer

Jigme Lingpa’s anniversary falls in October this year, and so we have a special text lined up for next month!
